Here at Summerlands Nursery and Pre-school, we pride ourselves in extending a very warm and friendly welcome which inspires confidence and peace of mind in both the children and parents or carers.

We believe that Summerlands offers a unique combination of facilities locally and we like to ensure that the nursery and pre-school is an asset to the area.

The nursery is renowned for its, inviting atmosphere where everyone is treated as an individual in safe and healthy surroundings. We value children's differences and ensure everyone's needs are met.

Settling your child into Nursery

We advise parents and carers to bring their child to some free pre-sessions at the nursery to allow them to become familiar with their new surroundings.

Although some children settle easily, others may find it more challenging to adapt to being away from their parents. Mums and Dads are welcome to stay at the beginning of the session and liaise with members of staff.

Providing flexible arrangements to fit in with your family requirements is a top priority at Summerlands and we do our best to ensure that the service we provide is of the utmost convenience to you.

With that in mind, we have very competitive opening hours- starting at 7.00am - to allow parents and carers to beat the rush and get to work on time after bringing their children in to us.

Summerlands is also synonymous with quality - as our excellent report from the prestigious Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) has shown. We are constantly striving to build on our success and are working towards the Quality Assurance Scheme. On-going staff development guarantees that our standards keep on rising.

The nursery also prides itself on its equal opportunities, child protection, and special needs policies - which are available to view at any time.
